Steelrising: Best Starting Class Guide

Do you want to know which class will be useful to you in order to advance without too much difficulty on Steelrising? In this guide, we give you all the information you need to start your adventure.

Even if the starting class system in Steelrising loses all its meaning as you progress in your adventure, it is still interesting to start on a good basis, especially for beginners. Because the class does not force your fighting style for the duration of the game, quite the contrary. It simply defines your start and is not an end in itself.

What is the Best Start Class in Steelrising?

When creating the appearance of your Aegis automaton, you can choose between four classes:

  1. Alchemist
  2. Dancer
  3. Soldier
  4. Bodyguard

Each class has different basic stats, but also opposed weapons in terms of gameplay.

To begin with, we advise you to prioritize the Alchemist class: it draws its strength from the ice affliction, which will allow you to freeze your opponents after several hits. Once the ice affliction is activated, your opponents won’t be able to move for a short period of time, which will open up a perfect window of attack for you to deliver a devastating special charged blow. However, you will not be equipped with a shield, and you will have no way to counter your opponents, but as your adventure progresses, you will be able to find weapons that will allow you to take advantage of afflictions, but also of certain security.

If you don’t want to take advantage of elemental damage, you can also use the Dancer class, which draws its strength from Agility and Vigor. Fans will allow you to have a shield that absorbs some of the attacks. However, heavy attacks will make you stagger.

If you’re not comfortable with short-range damage, you can just as easily play the Soldier, a semi-distance class. You will be equipped with a Halberd that can burn your opponents with its special that will strafe your opponents.

Then finally, if you want to inflict heavy damage, the Bodyguard will be much more suitable. You will be equipped with a heavy mace, but your blows will be very slow.
