Resident Evil 3 Remake Looks Stellar in 8K With ReShade Ray-Traced Global Illumination on an RTX 3090

If there is one thing that Capcom has succeeded superbly on Resident Evil 3 Remake, it is the graphic part carried by the solid RE:Engine.

But as usual, Digital Dreams has taken the game and put even more stars in our eyes by running the game in 8K and simulating ray tracing rendering with its famous ReShade Beyond All Limits.

Even though the latest Remake of the iconic horror game saga was clearly not on the same level as Resident Evil 2 Remake, Capcom still did a very solid job on the visual side. But that wasn’t enough for the famous German YouTube channel. So they spoil us again with a video that flatters the retina nicely.

The game has a very solid configuration, with an RTX 3090 graphics card, a Ryzen 9 3900X processor, 32GB of RAM, and an M.2 NVMe SSD. This means it looks great in 8K and runs smoothly. To complete the picture, Digital Dreams used its own ReShade Beyond All Limits to simulate the effects of ray tracing in a very convincing way.

As you can see in the video above, the result literally puts stars in the eyes and almost makes you want to help Jill fight Nemesis. It’s a pity that this remake has put too much emphasis on the action, to the detriment of the horror aspect, and that it has a particularly short life span.

Let’s hope that Capcom will be able to make up for the highly anticipated remake of the masterpiece that is Resident Evil 4, about which new information has recently surfaced.
