Rumors of an upcoming release of the Classic version of Wrath of the Lich King for Blizzard’s MMO have just been swelled by an important new discovery.
Wowhead, a very knowledgeable site on the matter, has indeed reported a find leaving little room for doubt in the files of the latest patch for the Classic version of the public test realm.
In the files of the latest 220.127.116.11086 update for the Classic Season of Mastery, the Wrath of the Lich King logo was discovered. Note, however, that the discovered logo did not include the word “Classic” like the previous two versions.
Wowhead reminds us that Blizzard sent out a survey a few weeks ago. The survey asked about the interest of players in a Classic version of Wrath of the Lich King, one of the most popular expansions of the successful MMO.
Let’s also remember that other files had been discovered last month. Everything indicates that Arthas could be back on the scene very soon. Especially since the Classic version of Burning Crusade is nearing the end of its cycle.
So the near future looks busy for World of Warcraft. On April 19, Blizzard will announce the next expansion, the theme of which has already been leaked. All that’s missing is a Classic version of one of the MMO’s best expansions, and the party would be complete.
