The deadline is approaching for Trek to Yomi. Its publisher, Devolver Digital, has just announced that fans of Ghost of Tsushima and Akira Kurosawa’s films will be able to rush to play it on May 5th.
Expected on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and in the Game Pass, Trek to Yomi can be seen once again through a long gameplay video.
Entirely in black and white, and thus playing on delicate contrasts, Trek to Yomi promises above all exhilarating fights, even if the animations seem a bit stiff.
Developed by Leonard Menchari (The Eternal Castle) and the studio Flying Wild Hog (recently Shadow Warrior 3), Trek to Yomi will make us play the samurai Hiroki who, after a tragedy, starts a dangerous journey to protect his village.
The long gameplay sequence offered today gives a better idea of the game’s rhythm, which alternates between tense fights, unexpected encounters and panoramas with a pronounced cinematography. An indie to keep on your radar for the beginning of next month, then.
