Called LEVITATION and developed by CoreyLaddo, this totally free mod with the look of an extension for Valve’s VR masterpiece is scheduled for the third quarter of 2022. In the meantime, an impressive trailer has been released to whet our appetites.

While the excellent Return to Rapture mod has just recently received a second part, another extremely ambitious Half-Life: Alyx mod is on the horizon. With the evocative name LEVITATION, this mod intends to extend the main campaign with a solid lifespan of about four to five hours.

Alyx will be in charge of going to Sector X, controlled by the Cartel, in order to investigate a mysterious levitating building in which Maya and Barry, two resistance fighters, have gone. This is despite the warnings of the brilliant Russell. Our heroine will also be confronted once again with the mythical G-Man during her investigation.

In addition to the impressive work done on the visual side, CoreyLaddo was able to surround himself with talented voice actors to give substance to his story. Those who have already visited City 17 with their VR headsets will not be too disoriented with this mod that looks like an official extension.

Still, in development, this mod should be released in the third quarter of 2022 and will be downloadable entirely free of charge via the Steam Workshop.
