Update Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 5:40 pm: So Sony has confirmed the list of PlayStation Plus games that will be free for subscribers starting April 5. They are indeed Hood: Outlaws & Legends (PS5, PS4), Slay the Spire (PS4), and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated (PS4). They will remain available until May 2. In addition, Persona 5 will leave “The PlayStation Plus Collection” on May 11.
The next games that will be offered to PlayStation Plus subscribers are already leaked. So it’s no surprise to discover in advance the three PS5 and/or PS4 titles planned for this month of April.
We’re on the verge of a big change for PlayStation Plus, as Sony will unveil its Project Spartacus in a few days (hours?). But while waiting for this new version of the service, the current version continues its little life by getting ready to welcome yet another round of “free” games.
So, unless there’s a last-minute change, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download Hood: Outlaws & Legends (PS5/PS4). It’s a multiplayer action game developed by Sumo Digital, in which two teams of four players will have to pull off the perfect heist.
Available only in its PS4 version, the excellent Slay the Spire (PS4) will also be on the trip, along with the remastered SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated (PS4).
These three titles should arrive on the PlayStation Plus as of April 5 and will probably remain there until May 3, 2022. Sony should soon make an official statement on this subject.
