With just a few days to go before its release, the Borderlands spin-off Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands continues its communication, this time focusing on cross-play and PC configurations.
Having gone Gold last month, Gearbox’s title is expected to be released on March 25 on PC (via Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and all gamers will be able to play this action-RPG FPS together on all platforms.
To ensure cross-platform multiplayer, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will once again use SHiFT Matchmaking, which has been used in previous Borderlands games. When the game launches, a window will appear offering you to create a cross-player name, whether you choose to enable this feature or not.
Your Crossplay Display Name must be unique, between three and sixteen characters long, and exclude any characters other than a dash or dot. Once in the game, the Social tab will allow you to add friends via their SHiFT name and invite them to a group, provided that the cross-play option is enabled in the settings.
In addition to cross-play, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will also support split-screen multiplayer on consoles. On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, up to four players will be able to play, while only two players will be able to enjoy the feature on PS4 and Xbox One.
So far a mystery only known to Tiny Tina herself, the PC requirements have also been detailed in the same blog post on the game’s official website, referenced below.
As you can see on the image above, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands should be less demanding than games with a more realistic grain, at least in 1080p. A more advanced configuration than those recommended will be necessary for a better fluidity on higher resolutions.
Anyway, here you are, armed with the knowledge to enjoy the crazy role-playing game mastered by the explosive Tiny Tina on March 25th and take on the role of the Hand of Fate, alone or with others, no matter what platform you prefer!
