GTA V PS5 / Xbox Series Gameplay in Ray Tracing Mode

The indestructible Grand Theft Auto V is coming this week to next-gen consoles, but Rockstar Games has so far refrained from revealing any gameplay footage. Fortunately, the first in-game videos are starting to appear on the web.

More than eight years after its initial release, GTA V is back with its version for Sony’s PS5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S. The studio with the star promised us a better fluidity, reworked textures but also the arrival of ray tracing. A few hours before the launch, we can finally admire these new features in action.

Some content creators were lucky enough to receive their “next-gen” copy of GTA V in advance. So we can enjoy this fifth opus in 4K at 60 FPS with ray tracing enabled via the sequence below captured on PS5. To get such a rendering, you’ll have to select the Performance RT mode (absent on Xbox Series S).

The visual redesign doesn’t seem to be stunning, but it’s clear that GTA V has gained in fluidity. Moreover, this second video (see again below) focuses on the much shorter loading times of this version. Remember that the game is on promotion until June 14, 2022.
