We were waiting for the confirmation and it just came. It is indeed this week that Sony will take the floor to present us its new products. Unfortunately, it will only be a “small event”.
It’s been a while since PlayStation has made any big announcements! Fortunately, the Japanese manufacturer will soon put an end to this silence. Indeed, as many insiders could sense, the Japanese firm will hold a dematerialized event in the very near future…
So we’ve learned that a new State of Play will be broadcast this Wednesday, March 9, 2022, starting at 2 pm PT. The event will last about 20 minutes and will focus on “upcoming games” from several Japanese publishers. Sony also promises to bring up announcements “from other developers located around the world“.
State of Play returns this Wednesday, March 9. Tune in at 2 PM PT for about 20 minutes of PS4 & PS5 first looks and updates, with a special focus on games coming from our Japan publishers.— PlayStation (@PlayStation) March 8, 2022

It is important to remember that no announcement related to hardware will be made during this State of Play. The PlayStation VR2 and its games are not concerned. Since Japan will be in the spotlight, details about Ghostwire: Tokyo or even Final Fantasy XVI might be included. Go to Twitch and YouTube to follow the State of Play!
