Bungie will ban Destiny 2 players who try to play on Steam Deck

If the Steam Deck is able to launch a large number of games available on Valve’s store, others are making resistance. This is the case with Destiny 2, for example. And gamers may even find themselves in trouble if they manage to play Bungie’s title.

The Steam Deck may be a good machine, but it can still be improved in several areas. This is particularly the case with the incompatibility of certain games. Among this list, an extremely popular production is not supposed to be compatible with Valve’s console. It’s Destiny 2!

Bungie recently confirmed that “Destiny 2 is not supported for play on the Steam Deck or on any system utilizing Steam Play’s Proton unless Windows is installed and running.  Players who attempt to launch Destiny 2 on the Steam Deck through SteamOS or Proton will be unable to enter the game and will be returned to their game library after a short time.

However, if players attempt to override these limitations and manage to start a game of Destiny 2, Bungie will own the outright ban. It is therefore recommended not to play with fire.
