Fallout: New Vegas 2 reportedly in ‘early talks’ at Microsoft

It’s a project that many gamers are dreaming about… And it could become a reality in the next few years. Indeed, a sequel to the excellent Fallout: New Vegas is currently being discussed.

In October 2010, Bethesda Softworks teamed up with Obsidian to develop a sort of spin-off to the Fallout saga. From this partnership was born New Vegas, one of the most appreciated opuses of the post-apocalyptic saga to this day. Despite this success, a second opus has never been clearly mentioned by the editor. But that could change very soon!

So, it’s journalist Jeff Grubb who tells us that Obsidian could be working on a Fallout: New Vegas 2. Grubb says that discussions have just begun and that it will probably be several years before we hear anything about the project. This initiative would come from Microsoft who really think that such a project could work.

For now, we’ll have to be satisfied with these meager rumors. Of course, a lot can happen between now and a hypothetical official announcement… So nothing says that Fallout: New Vegas 2 will see the light of day in the more or less near future. Obsidian is currently working on Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2 and another game that could be released this year.
