It’s been a few days now since the first tests of Elden Ring have been published, the game signed By From Software collecting a rain of supreme marks. A game available on consoles as well as on PC, which has been in the hands of gamers around the world for a few hours now. However, many concerns have already emerged regarding the PC version of the game, which recently went to version 1.2.

Thus, various negative testimonies have appeared in the last few hours on Steam, with many players complaining about the “unplayable” side of Elden Ring on their machines, due to unstable frame rate, clipping, disappearing NPCs or even problems related to the game controllers, sometimes undetectable. In addition, there are crashes and other freezes, not to mention the lack of 21:9 support… A concern also noted by Digital Foundry, which mentions “problems that will affect any configuration”.

Some players have already chosen to wait for the deployment of patches, following the advice of Digital Foundry, which also recommends waiting for future updates before investing in the PC version of Elden Ring. A situation that obviously impacts the reviews left for the game on Steam, displaying an “Average” rating, with 60% of positive evaluations, the majority of grievances relating to the optimization, and not to the intrinsic quality of the game.

Bandai Namco was quick to respond, stating on its website, “currently experiencing some issues that are preventing the game from playing properly under some conditions,” and apologized while asking for patience.
