Announced during the last Nintendo Direct, the next installment in the Mario Strikers series for the Nintendo Switch still has many surprises in store for us. And among the mysteries that were still revolving around the title, there was the name of the studio…
It looks like Mario Strikers: Battle League Football is finally in very good hands!
Mario Strikers series, which has been absent since the Wii era, will make its comeback on June 10 on Nintendo’s hybrid console. But it’s true that, since its announcement, a mystery still remained around the title: who could be in charge of the development of the project? This question has now been answered, and it should greatly delight (and reassure) the fans of the saga!
Indeed, Next Level Games is the one working on Mario Strikers: Battle League Football. This studio is behind the first two games released respectively for Game Cube in 2005 and Wii in 2007. We learned the news from the Australian evaluation agency. For the record, the Canadian studio is also known for having given life to the excellent Luigi’s Mansion 3 on Nintendo Switch. This is definitely enough to reassure us about the final quality of this Mario Strikers: Battle League Football.
Finally, as a reminder, Next Level Games is officially a Nintendo-owned studio since its acquisition in January 2021. After many years of collaboration, the two actors have decided to unite in order to move forward together. A decision probably accelerated by the success of the last adventures of our favorite coward.
