How to Connect your PlayStation Network Account to Discord?

The partnership between the two brands had already been announced in May 2021 and now it is taking shape. Indeed, PlayStation players are now able to link their PSN account to their Discord account.

It’s the beginning of a week full of news for Sony Interactive Entertainment. This Monday, the Japanese manufacturer made official the purchase of Bungie for 3.6 billion dollars. A new (small) upheaval in the video game industry… But the Japanese brand didn’t stop there, as we now know the outlines of its rapprochement with Discord.

At the moment, the hypothetical launch of a Discord application on PlayStation consoles is not on the agenda. For the time being, we have to be satisfied with the possibility of linking PSN and Discord accounts. A feature that allows the name of the game launched on PS4 or PS5 to be displayed in the instant messaging activities. The user can also publicly expose his PlayStation Network ID on Discord.

Connect your account and show what you’re playing

To access these new features, simply launch Discord, go to “User settings“, then “Connections” and click on the PlayStation logo (see above). Enter your credentials and you’re done!
